Muddy hands

I decided to set up a blog. I have always enjoyed reading other blogs so we will see how it goes. I am a Potter living in Western Colorado. I enjoy going to workshops and learning new things to do in clay. Some things I use and enjoy while others just fade away. A month ago a group of us here hosted a workshop with Randy Brodnax and Don Ellis. It was fabulous!! Lots of fun things to try and lots that will become part of what I do. We had a great 5 days. Now I need to get out in the garage, [also known as a studio] and try it all out. I share the garage with 2 cats that can come into the house unless they start bringing mice in to play with then the cat door gets shut for awhile.
My next project is 25 soup bowls. The bowls are sold, the people get a bowl of soup and the bowl and the funds raised go to help feed the homeless people. All the potters in this area donate bowls. It is a fun event. The bowls will only partially fill my kiln so I will be doing some other things as well.
Other things I enjoy are Grandkids. We always have fun when they come over. They like to play in the garage too. They can bring their play dough and moon sand and other messy things and when we make a mess it does not matter as it is easy to clean up out there.
